Look What Dropped (08/07/17)

Guess what GW dropped in to the Pre~Order box... That right the Poxwalkers and Marines.... And guess what readers??? ..... While I was in GW Store today I order one pack of each.. YAY!!! very excited girl..

They have also got some open play cards which I will pick up has well... Big times again for GW....

Okies Hi everyone again for today lol.... This is a another real quick post.... GW have just dropped the Codex bomb.. that right the rumours where true... But the great news is Death Guard are no longer in with Chaos Marines.... We are getting our own codex.....YAY!!!

GW have said they are dropping ten then before Christmas... With the Space Marines been first...Next will be the Grey Knights and Chaos Space Marines...Then finally The sons of Mortarion.... **Happy Sigh** So I'm thinking maybe August at best... but more likely to be in September... I'm not a 110% sure... but YAY!!!! Ok so stay save and have fun..

Hi everyone... This is a quick post today.... It involves the Army Rosters you see in the rule book and codices... Warhammer have now dropped a downloadable version on PDF (drop date 30/06/17)... This is great if you are like me and like to make copies of your list and print them out or even store them in a folder on a smart phone or tablet ......or be total oldskool and write them out by hand ...

FAQ Updates For Chaos.....

Hi everyone... This is a quick post about the new FAQs that GW dropped yesterday..... If you are not aware you can find them on the Warhammer Community page .... But I thought I would share the ones for Chaos... There is only one update and a couple of FAQs for Death Guard..... The update is the sixth one down on the left hand side... And the FAQs are number three and four on the right hand side of the page....

Poxwalkers WIP

Hi hi and welcome to my second Saturday 

post...In this post we will be covering the first build of the poxwalkers you get in the Dark Imperium box~set... You get twenty of these little meat shields in then various designs ... Now a quick bit of information on these poor cursed victims of Nurgles's plague.....Poxwalkers shamble across the battlefield in reeking hordes. They engulf their enemies in rotting tides of grasping hands,gnashing teeth and squirming tentacles..They are the cursed victims of Nurgles's plague transformed into unliving weapons by the cruel masters of the Death Guard..

So what do you need to build these?? 

• Fine Detail Cutters.
• Mouldline Remover. ( Or craft knife...but please be careful if you use this tool to remove the lines).
• Drill.
• Plastic glue. (You can use super glue..but I like plastic glue).
• Superglue, wine cork and paper clips. (More on this later).
• Cutting mat or sheet to protect your table.
• Paints and brushes.

So the Poxwalkers come on two sprue with the letter D on them.. There is also one Chaos marine on each sprue.. But these are carefully marked... In this box~set you get a nice clear booklet which shows you how to build each miniature..

Once you followed the booklet and built your little Poxwalkers its time to get them ready to be painted.....This is where the drill, superglue & paper clips come in handy... Now you need to be really careful at this stage and if you don't feel ready or comfortable doing this, you can just glue them down on to the 25mm base... So take your drill and use the 1mm drill and drill a small hole in to one or both feet... I normally do one foot but each to their own on this... there is no hard and fast rule on how to do this..... Next take a flat paper clip and test the hole once your happy with it put a little bit of glue on the foot and place the clip in... This will dry with in a few minutes... Once dry cut the clip using some snips..but not your Fine detail ones... It will kill them... Then place it in to a cork plug... and your ready to paint...

There is some really good paints out there, to paint your miniatures in... I like the Games Workshop Citadel paint range to pain my minis...I base coat them normally in Army Painters Uniform Grey or In the case of these little guys Army Painters White... But again this up to you what you want to use.... GW do spray cans (or rattle cans) in white or grey .... So Here is a list of the Citadel colours I used for these four Poxwalkers:

• Athonian Camoshade (Shade).
• Nuln Oil (Shade).
• Agrax Earth Shade (Shade).
• Jokaero Orange (Base).
• Troll Slayer Orange (Layer).
• Rhinox Hide (Base).
• Doombull Brown (Layer).
• Zandri Dust (Base).
• Abaddon Black (Base).
• Leadbelcher (Base).
• Blood For The Blood Gods. (Technical).

I am super pleased with how these four turned out... Now normally I do five minis at a time... But I had a oohhh nooooo moment!!.... I started a new can of the white primer on the last mini... And I did my normal routine of shaking for two minutes then doing six passes on a piece of scrap card... Once I do this I'm happy to start painting my minis... Well first pass over my spray can exploded a massive paint blob all over my mini **ARRGGHHHH** So Don't worry in a few post times I will show you how I deal with moments like these... That right readers... New Death Guard from GW coming out hopefully next month..I say next month as we only have a few day left in June...
So We have some new awesome cool poxwalkers and different Plague Marines.... To say I'm a excited girl is a understatement... So readers when I know more... I will post up more info on launch dates and stuff on these new little plague suffering peoples....

Hello and welcome to my new blog... So who am I and what is this blog about??

I'm Lucy... I'm in my mid 20's and I am a Warhammer geeky girl... So that me covered now to the fun bit what is this blog about I hear you say!!... Well its all about following me start my new army build for the new edition of Warhammer 40k Dark Imperium... For them who have been living under a rock or on mars with the Adeptus Mechanicus.. This is the new 8th Edition rules...which dropped last Saturday (17/06/2017)...

So what do you get in this awesome box~set....You get a copy of the hardback rules.. two supplemental softback books containing the rules and background for the included miniatures, And dice and a ruler to get you going...So what miniatures are in this box~set?? You get a set of the twenty two new Primaris Space Marines...& thirty one Death Guard miniatures:

Primaris Space Marines.

• Primaris Space Marine Captain.
• Two Primaris Space Marine Lieutenants.
• Primaris Space Marine Ancient carrying an Adeptus Astartes banner.
• Two five men Primaris Space Marine Intercessor Squads.
• One three man Primaris Space Marine Inceptor Squad.

The answer is Death Guard... I went the way of Chaos.... So over the next many posts I will be showing the build of these little pox's,plagued,troubled marines...
